Well, the time has finally arrived and we have seen the opening of Elm Creek Park Reserve's new single track trails. With the help of local volunteers, contractors, MORC, and many others this project has finally become a reality. There is still much to do and the technical portion of the trail still remains "under construction", but many people, including myself, have been out enjoying the trails. This past week has been a great deal of fun aside from becoming ill due to dehydration in yesterday's near 100 (F) temps. The heat index was 113 (F) and above in many Twin Cities suburbs. This afternoon after mowing the lawn the temp was 98 (F) with a heat index of 114 (F). Needless to say I am not going to ride today and possibly for the weekend as we are off to the cabin for family time.
I hope to have a more detailed write up of the trails along with more photos in the near future. Until then...
