Winter Solstice

For all of us living on the planet Earth nothing is more essential and fundamental as daylight. The sun is the Earth's ultimate source of energy and all creatures depend on it for survival. Many people refer to the long nights of winter as "The Dark Times".

The shortest day of the year and the longest night of the year have passed. It is the end of "The Dark Times". This is a time for many to celebrate the return of the sun. Soon the days will be noticeably longer although it will be a gradual change...today we gain nearly a second of daylight. However, by the 28 of December our day will be 29 seconds longer and soon those seconds will turn to minutes. Hope you can get out and enjoy the sun:)
