Northern Minnesota

Last night...nearly three hours of riding after dark. This afternoon and evening...just under five hours of riding on the Pugsley. The wolves revealed their presence with their lonesome eerie howls. I really don't have any words right now to describe it, only photos. I'm tired, hungry, and thirsty for a cold beer.
Anyone for venison?

These experiences only fuel my desire to live in a wild and beautiful place. I guess the only way this could get better would be to live out in the woods where I could do this everyday. It's time to settle in and read Jack London's "In a Far Country" and "To Build a Fire". After all... it is that time of year.

The terrain looks like it could be from one of my rides. Though there are wolves in some of the areas I ride in, I've never heard one in the wild. It must be quite an experience.
