Patti and I attended the grand opening celebration of the Siiviis Gallery in Duluth. We scored the above print and several others by Rick Allen. He creates some pretty amazing pieces of art. We've seen his work before and were always interested, but a photo essay done by Hansi Johnson really sparked my interest in this artist. Fun stuff!!! If you love the Northland, you have to love and appreciate Rick's work.Upon introducing ourselves to him and telling him how the essay by Hansi sparked my interested, he immediately asked if I new Hansi and had ridden the new trails at Cuyuna. Pretty funny. He also invited me to stop by his office the next time I'm in town. I may just take him up on that.
