Suburban Gem-Elm Creek Single Track

We here in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul along with the surrounding suburbs are very fortunate. The cycling community in the area is one of the most progressive in the country and with the help of MORC many other areas around the state have booming cycling communities. Cuyuna and what is currently happening in Duluth are very good examples of  this growth. I'm fortunate to live within a few miles of one of the area's gems. Three River's Park System's Elm Creek Park Reserve.

Several years ago a small group of local riders had a vision and with the help of MORC and Three River's Parks created Elm Creek Single Track. This vision has rapidly become one of the more popular trails in the Metro area. I've ridden it a lot over the past few weeks and collected some images.

If you haven't had a chance to ride Elm Creek you need to give it a try. Even if mountain biking isn't your thing it offers miles of paved bike paths that connect to the greater Twin Cities system of trails. Some of, if not, the best trail system in the country.
