First Snow in B & W

This past weekend was perfect. We had our first snow and I have to say that I enjoyed it immensely. It was great to see others out making the best of the wintry weather. The Minnesota Cyclo Cross Championships were held Saturday in the snow, there were many trail runners out in the park enjoying this first coating of winter white, along with several of us on bikes. I also saw tracks made by several intrepid skiers who were obviously anxious to get out.

"Nothing, to my way of thinking, is a better proof of a well-ordered mind than a man's ability to stop just where he is and pass some time in his own company." - Seneca

I am no longer the only person riding the park with fat tires and I view this as a good thing. I know several people that in the past few weeks have purchased new fat bikes for the upcoming winter. It's great to see more and more people enjoying fat biking or snow biking, whatever you choose to call it.

The making of snow around the chalet at Elm Creek Park Reserve will soon bring out the XC skiers. Hopefully we will get plenty of the natural stuff to go with it.
